montesquieu's boutique wines

Montesquieu is a negociant, or a fine wine broker, for rare quality, Boutique wines from small producing vineyards around the world. Montesquieu’s tasting panelists scour the world for vineyards steeped in tradition and local culture, selecting wines from properties that have been owned by the same family for generations and managed by experienced winemakers who are as passionate about wine as Montesquieu is. The panelists handpick wines that are a true reflection of the vineyard’s terroir and the winemaker’s vision, often tasting one hundred Boutique wines before selecting a deserving few to make available to their clients. Through Montesquieu’s exclusive wine broker service, clients discover some of the world’s best-hidden vintages and the diversity and quality of Montesquieu’s hand selected Boutique wines. Montesquieu’s goal in importing these superb Boutique wines is to share the exquisiteness of the world’s finest, premium wines with its American consumers.

Montesquieu’s selective process ensures its customers they are receiving the finest Boutique wines the world has to offer. Despite the fact most of their wineries produce an extremely limited amount of wine, often less than 500 cases, Montesquieu prefers these quality wines that have not been commercialized and have been carefully managed from the vine to the glass. Winemakers who only produce 500 or less cases do so because they value quality wine, and they do not allow just any grape to be harvested for winemaking. These small producers only use their finest, fully ripened fruit to make wine, ensuring Montesquieu’s customers a quality Boutique treat in every glass

Montesquieu believes winemaking is an art and has celebrated the diversity and quality of Boutique wine for over 400 years, often selecting wine that has never been available in the United States before. Because these wineries produce only small amounts of wine, they are often overlooked by American wine sellers, but Montesquieu prides itself on finding these rare and exquisite varietals that are a true reflection of the winemaker’s vision and passion for terroir. Montesquieu considers itself fortunate to be able to acquire these wonderful wines and distribute them to its American consumers who value wine for its artful beauty and exquisite diversity.

Montesquieu never represents wines that are mass-produced, since the negociant’s primary concern is to bring its clients wine that they will not be able to find anywhere else. The wineries Montesquieu selects often produce as few as 50 or 40 cases of a single variety every year, making them exquisitely rare. However, Montesquieu does not merely select a wine based on its production size. The negociant understands that limited production does not always mean high quality, which is why the negociant has on staff some of the most respected wine authorities in the world. Montesquieu’s wine panelists are incredibly selective about wine, ensuring Montesquieu’s customers the highest quality Boutique wines.
